All Things Work Together For Good

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28

This bible verse tells us that whenever you affectionately and faithfully make God your first priority in your lfe, it is promised that He will work out everything — that happens to you — for your good.

A Closer Look At This Encouraging Verse:

The phrase, “and we know”, means that believers accept by faith that God has control over everything.  And if God controls everything, then He can work anything out!

“All things” covers everything that can possibly happen to you as a Christian.

In this verse, “work together” means that God has ordained a timely and cooperative process — sometimes slow, sometimes painful, sometimes confusing — to manipulate things and events for His purposes for your life.

“For good” means that God always works things out for your spiritual and ultimate benefit.  In other words, there is nothing that can happen to you as a Christian that God, right now, is not working out for your benefit.

As I contend in my “Always, Always” sermon, it is the will and purpose of God that everything that happens to you always works out for your good.

How is He going to do it?  I don’t know.  We walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).

While you’re trying to figure it out , God is already working it out!

ALL things ALWAYS work together for your good.

How You Can Make The Most Of This Truth In Your Life:

  • Examine your faith daily to make sure that your ultimate trust is in the Lord, and not in man.  Not in a boyfriend or girlfriend.  Not in a relative. Not in money or your position.  And certainly not in material things!

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8

But seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

  • Live every day fully believing that God’s angels are making sure that your good times and bad times are cooperating together for your absolute benefit.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
