No Need To Worry

The astute C. S. Lewis once said, “But tho’ there is much to be puzzled about, there is nothing to be worried about.”

This statement assures us that peace of mind, for the believer, has little to do with our understanding of events, but everything to do with our faith in Him who navigates and controls all events.

In other words, even when we are tossed to and fro by the storms of bewilderment, questions and worries, we can be at perfect peace, because the captain and lifeguard of the ship is Christ Jesus Himself, the Prince of Peace.

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

I’ve been saying for some time, while you’re trying to figure it out, God is already working it out.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

If you make a habit of just focusing down on earthly issues, you will be depressed and confused every time. But, if you focus up on eternal issues — eternal issues that put earthly issues in their proper perspective, you will operate in confidence, peace and power.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

The essence of your peace comes from how consistent you are in looking up “from whence cometh your help, your help cometh from the Lord.” Psalm 121:1-2

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” II Corinthians 5:7

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
