The Sky Is Still There

In The Soul Of Christianity, Huston Smith discusses how even when the sky is covered with dark rain clouds, and assaulted by angry tornados, the sky, nevertheless, is still there.

No amount of harsh climatic activity, and regardless of how gloomy the atmosphere may appear, can change the fact that the sky is still there.

It is crucial that you realize that in spite of the rough storms that you are currently going through, in spite of the terrible tornadoes that are circling your life, God in Jesus, just like the sky, is still there! God–who made the sky–is still there!

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” Psalm 23:4

Friends will betray you, family members will attack you, lovers will desert you, coworkers will turn their backs on you, but God, just like the sky, is still there! God has always been there, and He will always be there!

“I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5)

I’ve been saying for some time that God is still there, even when you can’t feel Him.

“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him.” Psalm 145:18

Never forget that while appearances may have A word, it is God who has the last word. (Genesis 50:20) While appearances can write a comma, it is God who places the period.

“Circumstances do not have the last word in anyone’s destiny.” Dr. Manuel Scott Sr. in The Quotable Manuel Scott Sr: Words From A Gospel Genius by Manuel Scott, Jr.

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee.” Isaiah 43:2

Sorrow may be clouding up your sky, but be encouraged, God is still there.

Worry may be clouding up your sky, but be encouraged, God is still there.

Anxiety may be clouding up your sky, but be encouraged, God is still there.

Depression may be clouding up your sky, but be encouraged, God is still there.

“Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20)
