Rain: An Encouraging Poem

Posted in Encouraging Bible Verses, Encouraging Poems at 2:13 pm by Administrator

I love the rain, the sound it makes
Heaven’s tears
That shower the earth with laughter
For grass smiles greener, flowers smile brighter
The air
So fresh and pure

I love the rain because it wistfully contains
Reminders that nature remembers
That liquid drops kissing the ground
Is a timeless ballet
Of Grace and splendor.

I love the rain
The dripping
Drenching rain
Whose prophecy foretells of the truth
That before it pours and after it settles
The soul, once dry,
Is sweetly

I love the rain perhaps best of all
Becausw it signals the coming of the Sun
with such brightness
Such brilliance and warmth
Until again
You wish
The rain to come.

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not hither, but watereth the earth and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11
